Lonesome Poem by Robert L. Bixler III

Lonesome

Desires of isolation reside,
Not in the genetics of man
But are bred conditionals to abide
With a most disdainful omen.
One with which singularity
Reverses self polarity,
Empowering the inner demon
Who rapes tender pride.

As time’s gaze prolongs
And planetary stumble collects,
Doubt, pity and desolation throngs.
Combined destitution elects
Apathetic breath conversely,
Dejects attraction adversely
And bleeds solid state erect;
Here unsurpassable void belongs.

Loathsome, degrading seclusion
Is prescribed drug release
From the recluse’s awaiting resolution.
Universal sincerity’s caprice
Cannot negate depraved heart
From earthward spiral start
When loving emotions cease
To eternal solus and disillusion.
