Lonely City Poem by Penni Currie

Lonely City

Lost
not knowing where you are
Lost
are friends near or far
Lost
in a city full of people
Lonely
no-one to talk to
Lonely
No friends, just you
Lonely
in a city full of people
Lost
but in a crowd
you ask for help
they don't make a sound
Lonely
but not alone
no-one wants to know you
no-one even phones.
