Lonely am I

Lonely are the nights
Lonely are the days
Lonely am I, in so many ways

Lonely are the seasons
Lonely are the years
So lonely am I, that it brings tears.

Lonely is this place
Lonely is my life
Lonely am I, that I reach for a knife

Lonely is this court room
Lonely is my sentence
So lonely am I that I ask for repentance.

I can relate to your feelings of loneliness and despair. I too suffer from a feeling of hopelessness. Writing has always been an oulet for me. Thank you for sharing a part of your soul. (Report) Reply

If some-one is willing to share what they feel, who the hell are you to call them loser's?
If anything it just goes to show that YOU Bri Blunt are just childish, immature and don't give a stuff about other people. By the way it IS an Amzing poem no matter what people like Bri say! (Report) Reply

It’s horrible to be lonely you can have people around you and still feel lonely, which has happened to me and no doubt plenty of other people as well. A true to life poem. well done (Report) Reply

i liked the poem...it had a lot of feeling and soul put into it. it seemed as if you were cutting pieces of your heart and placing them in an order to understand. it gave me goosebumps...it was just sad. i hope that you aren't lonely anymore (Report) Reply

And the Clan has a name that is nameless by day;
Then gather, gather, gather Grigalach!
Gather, gather, gather Grigalach!
