Loneliness Poem by Lopamudra Mishra

Loneliness

Rating: 5.0

Sitting beside the roaring sea,
She counts the shining splashing waves,
Sparkling her memories in lackadaisical manner.
Sailing together on the time’s pendulum swing,
She lost her little obsequious child,
In lap of materialistic charm,
Finds her kiddie grown enough to navigate himself
In a world of fancy.
Non-commitally, she moped thoughts to search him....
Found him encircled in golden cage of luxuries and pleasure.
Unaware, unperturbed to her emotional and physical pangs.
Lonely she laments, unheard, unnoticed...
Prisoned herself in four walls of cozy room,
With wavering thoughts of future unknown,
Looking constantly to the silvery waves,
And counting the webs of time,
From her window pane!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Mother's unconditional love is ignored by her own offsprings when they grow up.Little did they know how many struggles and pain she has inflicted in her to bring them up and groom them to enjoy the luxuries.
Children once grown up, leave her lonely and merge themselves in their own world.
