Loneliness Poem by Tony Adah

Loneliness

I am lovesick
At the beach
Watching the surfs
And counting the shingles
All alone and lonely.

There is a figure
The beach wind is blowing
Towards me bikini clad
And my heart is going down
Hey, I yell and the seashore
Silent like a corpse turned
Her slender legs my way.

My heart is thumping
But I managed a Hi
And in a moment
I was looking at some blue eyes
And neck deep in a hug
With someone perhaps
Whose loneliness was equal to
Or more than mine.
