Loitering In Heaven Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Loitering In Heaven

I can do no wrong said angel of mine
When eyes close, thoughts of you cross the bridges to Paradise
Parallel to the nights that quickly turn to day
Straight lines that sway to the northern lights above
Breaths taken, frozen by the moments of your touch
For each night that longed for days embrace found its presence
Height to height
As each step ascended closer to the sky
As the sound of your voice became weightless
Against the frost of your touch, height to height
As each step ascended closer to the sky
Gallant in the waves of your clouds that kissed our feet
When she shuts her eyes I hope to never wake
