Locked Inside Myself Poem by josh mckinney

Locked Inside Myself

this face, was never mine
the mirror, won't show me on the inside
twitching, cold, alone, and afraid to die
I look into my eyes.

locked inside myself
not knowing where to go
neverending
forever spending
all my time
locked inside myself

this place, in my mind
right here, in the light
of the cabinet, reflected on tile
not sure if I'm alive.

and I'm bored again, bored again.
will it ever end, ever end?
stuck inside of me,
wanting you,
stuck inside these walls,
wanting truth,
can't I break through?

locked inside myself
not knowing where to go
neverending
forever spending
all my time
locked inside myself
