The fire in leaf and grass
so green it seems
each summer the last summer.

The wind blowing, the leaves
shivering in the sun,
each day the last day.

A red salamander
so cold and so
easy to catch, dreamily

moves his delicate feet
and long tail. I hold
my hand open for him to go.

Each minute the last minute.

A red salamander so cold and so easy to catch, dreamily moves his delicate feet and long tail. I hold my hand open for him to go. Each minute the last minute. - - ITALIAN TRANSLATION: VIVENDO Il fuoco è nella foglia e l'erba sembra così verde ogni estate, l'ultima estate. Il vento soffia, le foglie tremano al sole, ogni giorno, l'ultimo giorno. Una rossa salamandra così fredda e perciò facile da catturare, come in sogno muove i piedi delicati e la lunga coda. Tengo aperta la mano per lasciarla andare. Ogni minuto, l'ultimo minuto.

This is a beautiful poem. It reminds me of 'Change' by Charlotte Zolotov, for some reason.
