Living The War Poem by Josie Hartnett

Living The War

To feel the pain,
Of being shot
To witness the horrors,
Be filled with regret
For those involved,
Feel some pity,
For those at home, those who survive
Feel happiness, joy and pride
If loved ones are fighting,
Be embarrassed at what they are doing
Feel fear
That they will change,
That they might never return home.
For those back home safe,
Be jealous, but pride in what you are doing
Stick to the pain, of missing them
Not seeing them
Of what they have chose
At what they have done
Of what they will do.
But remember, war is never right.
War is never the right thing to do
Remember that...
before it's too late
