Living On Lore Poem by ERNEST CLARY

Living On Lore

Rating: 5.0

The stories of days gone by
of what Lincoln one time said
about a fish fry
living the joys
gander pulls horse races
times with the boys
and the places
some called malcontent
rowdy ruffians
the calming hand he lent
drinking by the batch
the times they spent
the wrestling match
standing around Berry, s stove
at the old store
talking about Clarys Grove
tell me more
