Little Pink Shoes Poem by Anita Atina

Little Pink Shoes

Rating: 5.0

Those little pink shoes
Hurriedly forgotten
In the kitchen
As she ran off to play
Brought such a tender smile
To my heart

She’s grown so fast
From crawling to running
And everything pink!
Soon sandals and high heels
That’s what she’ll want
When the boys start asking her out

But for now little angel
When you’re back from play
I’ll be waiting for you
With a hug and some cake
Smiling, with stories
Of your innocent play

You have captured the innocence of childhood beautifully in this tenderhearted expression of maternal love. And pink is such a loving color too. No wonder little girls are so besotted with it. What a joy to read this. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
