Little One, Little One Poem by Michael Peterson

Little One, Little One

Little one, Little one
So wonderful, so gentle you are
So careless, so free
Not a worry to be, as you can see
Crawling and bawling your only need
Soon you'll be walking and talking
Standing so wobbly,
Thinking I can do this
Taking that first step
Stumbling and tumbling
Little one, little one
Get on your feet, you won't bebeat
Step by step, fall upon fall
Up and down you try so hard
It's a sight to see you try
Cries to smiles, tears to cheers
Our little one is getting so big
Giggles and clapping
Your first steps are so grand
We hug you so tightly
And proudly so
Our little one is walking
