Little Lyla Juniper Poem by L C Vieira

Little Lyla Juniper

Rating: 5.0

Little Lyla Juniper,
a song is being sung for her
and blessings 'round the trees are heard
in thanks for Lyla Juniper!

She came in time for Christmas Day
to join her grandpa on the way
to celebrate his birthday too,
so now we'll always think anew.

Her mom was happiest to see
that more than two, there now were three
with grandmas here from far away
as God had planned for this great day.

So Little Lyla Juniper,
a song is being sung for her
and blessings 'round the trees are heard
in thanks for Lyla Juniper!

As we rejoice for her today
let's not forget to always pray
for humble hearts to know the King
to Whom the wise men gifts did bring.

Glad angels' tidings still ring clear
for those with open ears to hear;
His Presence came for all in need,
the wonder in the woman's seed.

'Though sadness now, as it did then
strikes hard against the hearts of man,
His Love is bigger than our fears,
His hands will wipe away our tears.

So little Lyla Juniper -
trust in the ones whose love is sure,
on this day, as we wonder too
what stories will become of you.

You'll find out that the truly wise
are often lesser in man's eyes;
and from the lost and hurting too,
there sometimes is a gift for you.

Be sure as great-grandmas do pray,
you've been remembered every day,
before you saw the world of light,
before they saw you shining bright.

The wise men know that children tell
much wiser words, so ring the bell
of miracles around us here,
as childlike wonder tugs us near.

We hear the bells on Christmas Day
ring, ringing joy along our way;
the great within each tiny thing,
the Grace which every baby brings.

And so we fill our glasses high
to raise our voices to the sky
in thankfulness for Mercy's Love
to grant these moments from above.

Little Lyla Juniper,
a song is being sung for her
and blessings 'round the trees are heard
in thanks for Lyla Juniper!
