Little Brother Poem by Jasmine Thompson

Little Brother

I never met you
I was taken away
before you were born

I wasn't there for your first steps
your first words, or your first falls.
I've never seen you smile
or heard your joyous laugh.

I don't know if you're alive
or if you've dead.
Where you live,
or who your parents are now.

Little brother,
I miss you.
Without ever meeting you
I know you've captured my heart

Little brother
be safe
We will meet
someday
