Little Boy Blue-Eyes Poem by Dakota Ellerton

Little Boy Blue-Eyes

You broke my heart
two seconds flat
I'm bettin' in a heartbeat
you'd love to take it back

How could you be so cruel
when your soul is so real
really, you're the only thing
that ever made me feel

Staring off into the sky
I wish you that you could hear
all the things I need to say
whispered in your ear

Little boy blue
innocence in your eyes
a soulful blue piercing back
tell me no more lies

Little grey girl suffers
when she thinks of you
and all the love you showed her
she doesn't think was true

Round and round we run
a circle made for two
little boy, little boy
little girl loves you
