Little Bird Poem by ANDREW BLAKEMORE

Little Bird

Rating: 5.0

Little bird is still,
Never had the chance to fly
Never had the chance to soar
Into the deep blue sky.

Little bird is mute,
Never had the chance to sing
Never had the chance to call
Its parents on the wing.

Little bird is blind,
Never had the chance to see
Never had the chance to look
As it fell from the tree.

Little bird at peace,
Never had the chance to live
Never had the chance to breathe
The air that longed to give.

This is so sad. You make my heart ache for some little bird I have never seen or even thought about. Poor little bird. Thank you for honoring it in this poem. :) Deborah Cromer

It hurts to see this when it happens, but your compassion towards such tender lifeforms reads so beautifully Andrew Thankyou Love duncan X

It is always so sad to see a little young fledgling dead on the ground, and this is a sweet poem telling of this happening. Life is so unfair. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX
