Listening To Bear Sing Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Listening To Bear Sing

Listening to Bear singing without a microphone,
singing of veteran's and their battles.
Giving me a sense of intense loneliness lying
inside of him.
Harboring feelings of somnolent emotions within
his heart, now being silently expressed to me
through his singing.
Saddened heart, being squeezed time and again,
because of his lonely heart kept in a forsaken
prison, afraid to be let out and be hurt again.
Feeling his hurt, I find my heart silently
reaching out to him.
