Listening And Learning Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Listening And Learning

Be slow to speak,
But be quick to listen
You will gain what you seek,
Like all wise men.

The one who observes
Learns a treasure of truth,
And soon will he serve
With excellence, contribute.

Be slow with your anger
And be careful with words
You'll be free from much danger
And your life from discord.

There is strength in meekness
In holding one's temper
It's the sign of true greatness,
Of honor and character.

'A good listener is not only popular
everywhere, but after a while he knows
something.'
