Liquidated Poem by Dylan Dowrick

Liquidated

Rating: 3.5

Two lives,
split,
by intermittent repetition.

A beat,
single,
lonely, and bereft of love.

Three graves,
penultimate
are we, never knowing who's next.

One love,
removed,
the flame within is without.

I bud,
flowering,
as the Sun, making His dues.

We rise,
bolster,
and add fuel to the fire.

All gone,
dead,
as a single mass, into they Abyss.

None see,
hear,
in the empty home, now house.

We corroborate,
love,
and move to the mouth.

And swim,
buoy,
through an unconscious, fallacious,
liquidated land of terror and falling skies.
