Lipstick, Dresses And Heels Poem by Paula Glynn

Lipstick, Dresses And Heels

This is what life as a woman is about:
Lipstick, dresses and heels,
For city nights and days,
Are about style and glamour,
Perfume and arched eyebrows,
Heavy eyeliner and powder,
That scream high fashion,
Whether New York, Tokyo or London,
People dress up to the nines,
Night workers - whether sex or dishes -
Work for a living, while others,
Work nine to five,
And people congregate in clubs, bars and pubs,
Drinking beer and vodka,
And just having a good time,
As the music from the stereo plays,
For life is short, and all those pretty ladies,
Wander around in lipstick, dresses and heels,
Celebrating their lives and the good times,
Leaving the stresses of life for the morning.
