Limerick.48. Homicide Or Suicide Poem by Valsa George

Limerick.48. Homicide Or Suicide

Rating: 5.0

In our neighborhood, a dog had died
Its body was seen lying near a river side
It was the owner’s delight
But the stranger’s fright
Was its death a homicide or suicide?

Homicide for sure because it was a fright to those other than its owner. Do dogs commit suicide? A poser that demands a lot of cogitation. Enjoyed. (10)

Brilliant Limerick Valsa. I was once bitten by a friends dog. For a while after the bite, all the dogs in the neighborhood would chase me.

It could well be culpable fratricide in a dog-eat-dog, and man-eat-man world, a good laugh...

the second line looks slightly longer; perhaps 'lying' could be dropped.Nice and funny limerick!
