Limerick.39. A Child's Kindness

Rating: 5.0

After church service, a boy ran to the pastor
Telling him with a kind gesture
“When I become an adult
For you, some money I’ll donate
As my Dad says, you’re the poorest preacher! ”

Great thought and moral ideas like kindness are hidden in the heart of a child. Very nicely and aptly presented. Msany thanks for sharing.

But for the pastor..... it must have been a real insult though the child was innocent in his act and for his father, a great embarrassment....!

This goes right to myfavourites! When a literal understanding finds expression in the thoughts of a child....words fail me right now. Just excellent, Valsa!

He is surely a blessed child, if he has such wonderful thoughts. Even preachers need money to live. Lovely limerick.
