Lilly Poem by Dave Alan Walker

Lilly

Rating: 4.8

I saw
my mother today
under a mystical
Coloured rainbow

I said
I thought you died
this day
when I was
just twentythree

I did my son

I just wanted
to come and see
my new
Granddaughter Lilly
smile at me

Let me get this straight - if your mother came to see her new granddaughter, that would mean you have a new daughter, right? So can I say congratulations?

Hi Dave I'm Ronel from South Africa. Thanks for commenting on my poems. I enjoyed and identified with your poem Lilly. I think those who pass on let you see them when you are ready and worthy to do so-it brings peace and calm into our lives.
