Like The Garden Of Eden Poem by Myrtle Thomas

Like The Garden Of Eden

Like The Garden of Eden

your touch like butterfly wings
soft warm was the kiss
alluring persuasion
eyes burnt with your image
as the sunsets over the mountain
your love a familiar bridge
over troubled water
a flower so youthful held sweet nectar
is a gift ancient as time itself
you were the hurried worker bee
stirring and tending the honey
only sunrise awoke you from the sweet feast

I the queen bee enticed you
with the kiss of ruby lips
a perfume ambience held us
entwined, woven hearts bleed lovely
as the scarlet rose on dewy morning.
