Like The First Night Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Like The First Night

This night of flowers
Fingers of soft summer moonlight
Barefoot on the green grass
Shrouded in peace
Gratitude and praise
I am the blessed

The trees are as gentle as love
Breeze filled with righteous angels
Tonight the windows are open
I know God rules and good has won
I feel the presence of the Lord
The stars come out like the first night
