Like Murphy's Law Poem by Francis Duggan

Like Murphy's Law

Rating: 5.0

We all have a life's journey to undertake
And out of what we have only the most we can make
Even the circumstance of birth is like the luck of the draw
For millions life it surely is like Murphy's Law
For each day brings them hardship and adds to their woe
And happiness they are not meant for to know
For them it does seem uphill all of the way
And that's how it will be till their last night and day
To be born to poor parents is their only crime
And they look middle aged though only in their prime
Their children like them born into poverty
'Tis a vicious circle would you not agree
Few of them ever live on to grow old and gray
Life's not meant to be easy not for many anyway.
