Like A Phoenix Poem by Rimni chakravarty

Like A Phoenix

Are you acquainted with the word phoenix?
I came to know of it in many stories
It is a mythological bird that lives for two hundred and fifty years
And burns itself to ashes from where emerges
Another bird to live for again two hundred and fifty years
So cheers!
As for me this story inspire
The thought brings back the fire
I have hidden within me
To look up and see
Of the many changes I can bring to regain the lost charm
All I need is to be firm
Yes firm on the ground,
Be physically and mentally sound
So with the aid of your will power
You too can shower
The love you have for yourself
All you need is to delve
Deep down and search for the rainbow
And when you watch it just smile
Worries fly
The sun floods the field of corn
You watch and glow to rejoice your birth
In this beautiful earth
Like a Phoenix you are reborn
You mature and become wise
The world turns out to be your paradise.
