Like A Bolt Out Of The Blue Poem by Vassilis Comporozos

Like A Bolt Out Of The Blue

Rain water
dripping
the huge cloud’s
glory
upon flowers
which could never
reach it
had it not
become rain.

And now
they’ve drunk it
down
to the dregs
like a love
which they thought
a fleeting
dream
till, like
a bolt
out of the blue
it showered
its invincible
elation
upon them.
