Light Switch Poem by Faith ReAnne

Light Switch

I try to think while my brain conquers
Gazing off into another dimension of myself
A better one, one of lesser value
The visits get longer as the intervals shorten
I travel there alone and unabashed
A break from routine, from faces
No voices, no orders, no concrete grins
I am content, in control and uncontained
Free from nothing, attached to all
Able to step out of time
I am temporary liberated
