Lifeless Immortality [to Die, Is To Live] Poem by Dakota Ellerton

Lifeless Immortality [to Die, Is To Live]

Rating: 5.0

The ugliness in this world has eaten away at my conscience
the darkness has consumed my will to live
and the hatred has drowned my thoughts
I am no longer living
now I am free
free from society, free from sorrow
pray for my soul to be in peace
for an eternity I will pay for my sins
my body shall remain with you
rotting, decaying
In spirit I will be endless
In some ways I will live on
do not fear death
but life itself
