Lifeless Poem by Terrence Griffin II

Lifeless

We are the lifeless
We are those who walk among you
We are one, divided by zero
We are like dogs chasing cars.

Our screams,
So silent, yet so powerful
Not heard, but seen

Like the aftermath of war,
Or the birth of a child;
Life comes and goes
Through the blood of one.
One divided by zero.

We are torn without ripping,
We are forgotten, but not lost.

The journey of many
With the clarity to see the realm of another.
We are of a dying breed
Because we are lifeless,
Though we walk among you.

Let me be not any closer to the realm of the unknown…
Lest it be my time
We are, but a speck of time
So follow your bliss,
As we all seek

Let the realm of the unknown be not upon the doorstep of man…
Lest they walk among us…
As the lifeless.

With Bodies like prison cells,
In a world like a gulag.
Let the key to our escape be seen in this realm.

Maybe were just going through things,
And it's a part of our design.

Maybe we have ruined everything,
Maybe the lifeless have crossed the line.
