Life Without Meaning Poem by Crystal Hayes

Life Without Meaning

Life without meaning

In life there is always a meaning
Something you long for.
It could be something you are not seeing
Or something such as your lord
Many may soon see it
Yours may come sooner then others
You’ll know when a warmth inside you has lit
It’s as exciting but fearful as just becoming a mother
The day I met you I wasn’t sure
I’ve been hurt so much before
Not sure if my broken heart had a cure
But now I find you are the one I adore
I know we have had our ups and downs
And I know I may not be perfect
But we seem to find out way around
Trust, I have to learn it.
Life without your meaning could be frightful
You feel as if you are numb and dead on your feet
Baby, please tell me something insightful
Something you give me that I could keep
Just never stop believing
Don’t settle for someone new
Because life without meaning.
To me, is life without you.
