Life Of A Wolf Poem by anteaus berryhill

Life Of A Wolf

Searching and surviving for his sake.
Hunting for food that he must eat and take.
Howling to the skies in the night times.
His pack is suffering from hunger through hard times.
The life of a wolf is just like me.
As a human being in this world.
But I don't howl, I pray for a better day.
I always watch the sun go away.
And think of what size of fight I must have in me.
Prey after prey, I look as my enemy.
I stay in the home of hardships but not the woods.
I wish I could fly away in spaceships just for good.
I am just misunderstood.
As I see the spirit of the wolves howling.
By every hour....just every hour like them I want power.
To be on top of the world.
And hoping my cherokee and black ancestors remember.
My success as a intelligent human-being.
I look into the eyes of a wolf and find the reflection of me.
The Life of a wolf is what I see in me.
