Life Is Like A Carnival Poem by Jean Dament

Life Is Like A Carnival

A day at the carnival is filled with lots of joys & thrills,
It's similiar in life; as we sometimes endure fun & then sometimes spills;
Where we can be riding so high one day, like being atop a big ferris wheel,
With the wind blowing in our hair & no worries do we feel,
Then the next day our troubles will simply throw us down to the ground;
And just when we're riding the highest- is when the ride decides to slow down much like the merry-go-round;
Then there 's the rush we get from a roller coaster ride;
That takes our very breath away, leaving no place for our fears to hide;
While the wild & whipping tit-a-whirl will excite & toss us to & fro,
But we'll ride & ride it over again; since we love it so,
Life's many problems will carry our emotions on to varying degrees of the dance;
And much like these carnival rides we're still willing to take that chance,
We may adopt many risks along the way, that may cuase us to take a dive,
But we'll find it was all worthwhile to truly feel alive.
