Life Is A Nitpicking Journey Poem by Hebert Logerie

Life Is A Nitpicking Journey

Rating: 5.0

(This poem is dedicated to my daughter & son, congratulations on your Master & Bachelor degrees!)

I knew you before you were born
Of course I was there when
You took your first breath
Yes, I was there then.

I remember the first pairs of shoes you've worn
I remember your first laughs
Your first kisses, your first smiles
Your first steps, your first crawls
Your first waves, your first falls
Your first hellos, your first cries
Your first bicycles, your first sighs
The first time you were sad
The first time you called mom and dad
And the very first time you utter a word
I can remember, Oh! Lord.

You have everything that I have
To me, you're everything
And I was your first body guard
I remember
And I wonder.

Yesterday is long gone
With the song and the homeworks undone
Carpe diem, carpe diem
Gather the roses, all of them
Now means everything to all of us
However, there is one tomorrow
Which will mean nothing to us
May the Almighty bless all of us!
