Life Is A Lottery Poem by Isatou Juwara

Life Is A Lottery

Rating: 4.0

Everything is a trial
Even including your desires
You always have to chose
You don't have a choice.

Did you buy the right stockings?
Or better still the right quality?
Its trial and error
Thats life isn't it?

Maybe if the driver knew
Knew that he'd die in an accident
Maybe he wouldn't have been a driver
The car's a disastrous monster.

But who is ever sure
Of what the future holds?

Not the students battling with papers,
Not the women expecting babies,
Not even the religious folks
Noone is ever sure
Perhaps because
Life is A Lottery

Another thoughtful write about the mysteries of existence...only a very special few will strike it lucky in the lottery of life and live happily to the end of their days. Even if you don't know it yet, every choice you make will affect you later in life, even one as seemingly insignificant as buying the right stockings, as you state in your poem. Great job, I enjoyed reading this. :) -Leslie-

'You always have to chose You don't have a choice.' I love this 2 lines and the whole poem also and the idea about it really awesome although it shows some of suffering pain but it talks about a reality, , nice poem :)
