Life Goes On Poem by Holly Jamestone

Life Goes On

Windmills gently pirouette
Church bells long since tolled
Clocks tick softly, marking time
Hours and days unfold

Bees embrace their favorite blooms
Snows melt on the land
Massive waves upon the shore
Grip it with one hand

LIFE GOES ON, a birth of days
A celebration of dreams
Gliding swans and dancing rain
Twilight without seams

Elk walk ‘neath the hunter's moon
Bathed in marmalade
Shooting stars kiss ebony
Days spent in the shade

Lullabies hush restless minds
Stories ease their hearts
Candles warm the inner soul
Daybreak gently starts

LIFE GOES ON, a birth of days
A celebration of being
Thankful wrens sing morning's praise
Hammocks meant for fleeing
