In three stages:
The foreground, middle ground,
And the background.
And so it is with life.
The foreground—youth.
The middle ground—middle age.
And the background—old age.
Each stage brings with it
More dimension. More meaning.
Broadening experiences
And ever working toward
The completion of the portrait.
