Life At Obelisk Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Life At Obelisk

Rating: 4.9

Through the flood we shall rise and float
On tenterhooks of tomorrow(s)
We shall abide beyond the gallows
Of each daybreak, ours to calculate

Life, on the gigantic obelisk we etched
As history have our joys and sorrows
On the walls of each steeple chamber
There the tale goes engraved on marbles

Embroidered on silky clothes of kings
By bare hands and simple weapons
On the jars of blood, we reached to day
Molded us people in silver and clay

We may be buried underground
Still peace may not be found
It may not look good and sound
We have to make show all-round

We shall rise from dangerous grave
Lay our lives with front very brave
Let nature’s fury take heavy toll
We shall float and make ourselves roll

History will not show and repeat
Past may not be worthy to remember and sweet
Still we will see and make it memorable
Any efforts to undermine always are deplorable

Precious lives may be lost
Relation may sour and frost
We may be buried underground
Still peace may not be found

It may not look good and sound
We have to make show all-round
We shall rise from dangerous grave
Lay our lives with front very brave

Let nature’s fury take heavy toll
We shall float and make ourselves roll
History will not show and repeat
Past may not be worthy to remember and sweet

Still we will see and make it memorable
Any efforts to undermine always are deplorable
Precious lives may be lost
Relation may sour and frost

We may bid good bye up to gallows
Sacrifices to be made and principles followed
For better tomorrow we may shed our blood
Sprits may not be washed amidst grave flood

We may swim and reach the coast
To celebrate victory with wine and toast
We shall simply not die
Not to loose sight and never to lie

Let us be out of tenterhook
Names must appear in martyr’s book
We will rewrite our own achievement
History may witness holy movement

Nation may be built on sound foundation
Brave sons of soil may find names and commendation
Each page will contain sorrows
Words may speak of bright tomorrow

Wide angles with views not narrow
Resolutions firm and aims as arrows

A good tribute on obelisk makes thoughtfully interesting to read about the tragedy due to typhoons and tsunamis nobody can forget till the end of time! It is real panic still alive and will be so forever for the coastal people around the world!

History tells much about the life's stories of our ancestors, past etc. On the obelisk like the great egyptians have mystery lies in every wall. Joys, sorrow, legends, customs, traditions etc all engraved to chamber walls.....all preserved to lead the way of every being inthis world! ! ! fabulous co written poem i think! ! !
