Life And What It Done To Me Poem by Ala' Elouri

Life And What It Done To Me

As I grow older
My mission gets harder:
And work is like an Order
You can't resist
You can't say no
Unless you want to be kicked out the door.
I always thought that I could achieve dreams
And reach the blue skies, but stupid me,
I had thought I was good enough!
I had supposed I was going to fill my dreams
Yet I was mistaken.
Whom can I blame?
Is it me?
Is it me whom got myself In this Flame?
I wish I could grow younger
I fear the seas
And fear the soil.
I fear the smell of death
I fear to be a failure.
What is there to do?
Am I the one to blame?
I'm not the same
Yet I haven't completly changed
I still have hopes and dreams
But no faith in myself
Oh god help me please.
Need the passion to learn
Need the eagerness to grow
Need to feel trusted in order To suceed
I must suceed
I have to follow my league.
Oh my, what a beautiful sky
And a sun brighter than the Moon
Oh my, sometimes I want to cry
But I can't anymore,
I really cannot tell why.
