Life- A Journey In Pain
Birth is pain.
Death is pain.
Every pleasure is steeped in pain.
Joy contains seeds of pain.
Proximity germinates attraction:
Arouses passion.
We taste life's pulsations;
Love's manifestation!
Or fulfillment?
Joyous is the moment:
A blissful moment:
We can't cling on
It's a fleeting moment
It vanishes, leaves no mark.
Why dost pleasure soon depart?
Pain it is that leaves a scar.
All the yearnings
All the longings
Can't be limited
Can't be fulfilled
Cause agony and pain.
Life a journey of pain
Or a journey in pain.
along with the pain is a lot of joy. we must endure the pain to enjoy the happiness.
Though life is a mixture of joy and sorrow, pain predominates! What you have stated is so true... joy is a fleeting state, so also pain.. but pain always leaves a scar indelible! A beautiful poem!

Life is bittersweet at best, having joy and losing it in the end causes pain. For every happy experience there is an unhappy one. Everything in life is a loss, for we must die losing it all! There's no way around it! Therefore, humanity exists and ends through pain. Our hearts are scarred quite a lot before dying on this earth. A very thought provoking poem, enlightening and illuminating our lives on earth through it's powerful emotions and feelings. Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
