Life Poem by Josete Lazarotto

Life

I am your desire
I am the force that takes you higher
I am the words in the serenade
I am the voice in the parade

I am your name on the board
The life you can afford
I am the value of your quarter
I am your son
I am your daughter
When you are thirsty
I am the life in the fresh water

I am love from underneath
Pulsing in your heartbeat
Shining in the words that you speak
I am from above
I am from the scar under the glove

I am the torch in your hand
When reality is distorted
I am right there where you stand
I am your sorrow and your pity
I am the ugly and the pretty
I am the lights in the city

I am the black hole in your eye
The secret passage into the sky
I am the reason why you live
And the reason why you die

I am the wind and the rain
I am your joy and your pain
I am you and you are me
When I look at you
Beauty is what I see

I am your sadness your excitement
I am your happiness your enlightenment
I am the music that you sing
I am the man in the king
I am your highness
Your plus and your minus

I am the jewel in the gown
I am the diamond in the crown
I live in castles and sleep under the bridge
I live to hassle to follow and to lead
To stay and to leave
I come to you through the air that you breathe

I am the most beautiful spectacle you ever seen
I am the things that you touch
The places that you been
I am your luck
I am your sin

I am the ground that you walk
The cement holding the block
I am your laughter, your talk
I am god, I am life
I am the blood, I am the knife
