Letting Go Poem by Storm Pedersen

I’m letting go
I’ve held on for far too long

Now it’s time to let go
Time to let me have freedom
Time to let you have some freedom

I enjoyed the time we had together
I truly did
But I have nothing to gain from this
Nothing at all

I thought we had a lot going
But really it was nothing

I thought I chose carefully
I thought we spent our time wisely
But honestly
I don’t know about you
But it surely was wasting my time

I’ve got to go now
Though, you might see me
Here and there
In front of you or behind you
Alone or with friends
But never shall you see me
With another guy

I may be letting go
But it doesn’t mean I’m happy about it
