Letters And Numbers Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Letters And Numbers

With Alphabetic Letters, we do write,
And with those words, we speak,
But with Numbers we do calculate,
Often daily, or week by week.

With the Tonic Solfa, we sing our songs,
With Musical Notes, our Instruments we play,
Some only listen to the melodies,
Occasionally, or day by day.

In our cars, or on our bikes,
On buses and in lorries too,
We travel to our place of work,
Or with our friends, or to meet you.

With skis, we enjoy our Winter Sports,
With clubs, our golfing games,
Whatever sports we choose to play,
We enjoy them, again and again.

Whatever we choose to do in Life,
However we plan our Time,
We must try to live it without strife,
From our Birth until our End is nigh.
