Letter To Heaven - Dear Nana Poem by Janice Walkden

Letter To Heaven - Dear Nana

Dear Nana

We knew the time was coming
that you had to go away
and the moments we had left with you
were fleeting day by day

When we came to see you
your smile would light up the place
You never lost your humour
years of kindness in your face

We’ll miss you so much dear Nana
a lifetime of memories we share
when we were little children
and we were in your care

A lifetime of precious memories
in which we all have a part
death cannot delet them
they’re kept safe in each loving heart

So here’s our ‘letter to Heaven’
because that is where you’ll be
at peace in Gods beautiful garden
with Papa, friends and family
