Let Us Leave Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Let Us Leave

Rating: 5.0

She was endlessly weeping
With tears non-stop falling
I tried to console her
With single argument to offer

“Think, I was not in your life”
I tried to put sharp front as knife
It was cutting inner conflict
But we were love addict

I did not want to go apart
As it was strong bond to feel part
We were together for many months
The alliance was unique and worth

“I have tried my best”
I whispered to face acid test
She realized that it was lost case
The situation was not to be same in any case

She was my best bet
Several times I had made it known or let
Many times she had scoffed the idea
But today it seemed to be real

We both stared but exchanged nothing
She always wanted to tell something
I stayed for more time to listen her
She spoke nothing but bothered

“I am still open” I reassured
You were my treasure
I shall cherish your company
Let us leave this to almighty
