Let Us Hear It For Joyce Hemsley Poem by Francis Duggan

Let Us Hear It For Joyce Hemsley

To be second to Joyce Hemsley should never be a disgrace
For she is one well worthy of the most exalted place
She keeps on penning verses the numbers multiply
And of her right to greatness no critic would deny.

She has tried all forms of poetry with success one must add
And one has to congratulate her with the success she has had
With the challenges she has set herself by example she does lead
Those who do try the hardest are those who do succeed.

Her work cannot be mistaken as it does have it's own voice
Let us hear it for Joyce Hemsley the one and only Joyce
For one of such great talent no praise is high enough
She is a master wordsmith and she surely knows her stuff.

Six thousand and five hundred verses and keep counting on from there
Conferred with her Literary Doctorate few with her can hope to compare
Quite an amazing woman and of her it would be fair to say
That she does command a high place amongst the writers of today.
