Let Us Forget Poem by Ellen Shaw

Let Us Forget

lay me down
at the foot of a tree
on cold cold earth
lay me

Cover me up
with a blanket of snow
invisible beneath
hide me

and I will sleep
and sleep and sleep and sleep
and when you sleep
don't dream of me
