Let The Flames Begin Poem by Janelle Morehart

Let The Flames Begin

Let the flames burn
Take it all down
Burn baby burn
Scorch it all away
My sins
My heart
My mind
Burn all of me
This is my death toll
This is where they burn my hopes down
This is when my life comes to the edge
Flames are hot
The inferno burns brightly
It pushes me back
Forces me back
Step after step
I am alone
Where am I
How can I be this
What have I done to deserve this
Nothing, Nothing
And thats just it
Why didnt I do something
No, no too late
Too far gone
Let the flames begin
Let the heat roll on in
Let it all burn away
Melting inside my heart
Seething in my brain
So come on
Give me all you got
Let the flames begin
Wash my body with sin
I smile and laugh as the flames engulf
I am evil, I am hatred, I am angry
I want more heat
Give me the flames
Come on!
Let the flames begin

The effects of the flame is portrayed well, as the description provides a vivid image of what it would feel like to be there. A very beautiful piece.
