Tonight we won't have to pretend
I'm not the jerk you think I am
I'll always be you friend
Loving you thru the hurt and pain
I will silence your heartfelt cries
I know it may come as a surprise
The doubts of unfaithfulness
And fears of fake trust
I will face with no fear
So go ahead and wipe away your tears
I will hear your woeful screams
Silence them with new dreams
Of a true love like you have never seen
I never meant to hurt you in any way
Friends until the end didn't you say
I pray it's not today or any day
I will dry the blood from your jagged scars
I'm not a monster, can't you see
I never meant to blow you off like a breeze
No sorrow here or there
Will you ever see because of me
I'll take you to the stars on my angel wings
Give you enough love to heal
Your shattered heart
You think I tore all apart
Tonight we don't have to pretend
We are friends until the end
